About Me

I guess you could say the first map I ever made was for a game called Stunts(1990). It was this great racing game published by Broderbund that included a track designer. I would spend hours making tracks for that game. I also remember toying around with the level editor for Descent(1995).
My first real experience with a brush based level editor was when I made my first map for Unreal Tournament(1999) with UnrealED. Since then I have also tried my hand at CS 1.6 mapping using Worldcraft.
I am currently working with Hammer for the Source engine. I feel that with this tool I am finally honing my skills and doing professional level work.
I recently discovered the Multi Theft Auto mod for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. It includes a mapping editor that is very tedious to use. In fact I prefer using notepad to the map editor most of the time. Within a few days of using the tool I was able to write a program in Excel to automatically generate loops out of strait road pieces.
